If you're a musician, band, solo artist, or DJ looking for places to play live music in southern New Hampshire, you're in the right place. The Spot is a live music venue and kava bar at 217 Main Street in downtown Nashua, and we're actively booking performers for weekly shows.
Whether you're a seasoned touring act or playing your first gig outside your living room, here's everything you need to know about booking a show with us.
What Is The Spot?
The Spot is an alcohol-free kava bar and live music venue in the heart of downtown Nashua. We serve premium kava, craft coffee, and creative mocktails in a relaxed, all-ages environment. Live music is central to what we do — we host acoustic acts, full bands, singer-songwriters, open mic nights, and more every week.
What makes us different from a typical bar gig? Our audience is there to listen. No drunk hecklers, no TVs competing for attention. It's a listening-room atmosphere where performers can actually connect with the crowd. We seat around 40-50 guests, and because all shows are free entry, the room stays full.
What Equipment Do We Provide?
We provide a full PA system, microphones, and basic stage lighting. Our dedicated performance area comfortably fits solo acts through full bands of 5-6 members. You bring your instruments — we handle the sound. If you have special setup needs (extra monitors, specific mic configurations, etc.), just mention it in your booking request and we'll work it out.
What Genres Are Welcome?
All of them. Acoustic, rock, jazz, blues, folk, singer-songwriter, hip-hop, electronic, spoken word, comedy, and open mic acts are all welcome. We love original music and local talent, but covers are great too. If you bring positive energy and good music, you'll fit right in.
How the Booking Process Works
Booking a gig at The Spot is simple — three steps:
1. Submit your request. Head to our booking page and fill out the form. Tell us your act name, genre, how many members, your preferred date, and drop a link to your music (Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp — whatever you've got).
2. We review within 48 hours. Our team listens to your music and reviews your submission. We're not gatekeeping — we're looking for acts that fit the vibe and bring something real to the stage.
3. Get confirmed. Once approved, we lock in your date, go over the details (load-in time, set length, any special needs), and start promoting your show on our Instagram, Facebook, and newsletter.
When Can You Play?
Our prime live music slots are Friday and Saturday evenings, typically 8 PM to 11 PM. We also book weeknight acoustic sets and special events on select weekdays. We recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance — popular weekend dates fill up fast. We accept bookings up to 3 months out.
Can You Sell Merch?
Absolutely. We encourage performers to bring their own merchandise — CDs, vinyl, t-shirts, stickers, whatever you've got. We'll set aside space for a merch table near the performance area. It's your show, and you should be able to make the most of it.
Why Musicians Love Playing at The Spot
There's a reason performers keep coming back. The audience at The Spot is engaged, respectful, and genuinely excited about live music. The alcohol-free environment means fewer distractions and a more focused crowd. You're not background noise at a bar — you're the main event.
We also promote every booked act across our social media and email newsletter, helping you reach new fans in the Nashua area. And because we're in the heart of downtown, you're playing in one of the most walkable, accessible spots in southern New Hampshire.
